Illustration &
editorial design

The majority of my role at DISCO consists of illustrating several digital drawings and compositions while staying on-brand. This includes blog headers, ads, documents, ebooks, merch, social media graphics, event promotions, infographics, and even a wall mural for the New York branch. Many compositions are made by manipulating imagery from vector bank or AI-generating websites, but several are also custom-made.

By 2024, DISCO underwent a major rebranding makeover, gradually shifting away from 2D flat illustrative works to exploring strong collage-like, modern, editorial compositions.

Logos & typography

From simple to imaginative, I have had the privilege of designing several logo and type treatments for various occasions here at DISCO, some being part of larger campaigns. All are specially made and customized.

NYSE

In July 2021, DISCO went public, and one of the first tasks given to me as DISCO’s new designer was to create the logo that would showcase our stock listing all across the New York Stock Exchange.

The CEO at the time often endearingly said “so prawd” (“so proud”) to employees when big company wins were accomplished. I designed this congratulatory card and stickers which were mailed within a large box of DISCO swag to all employees.

Raise the Bar

Every year, DISCO brands a theme for their annual kickoff celebrations that take place after the new year. The theme for 2022 was ‘raise the bar’, and I was given the opportunity to brand the event starting with designing the logo to then digital media (Zoom backgrounds, emails, etc.) and DISCO merch such as tote bags, stickers, pens, and notebooks. Fetch, the husky mascot of DISCO at the time, was also included in some of the final designs.

Camp DISCO

Camp DISCO was a program created in 2022 as a launchpad for emerging professionals in business and technology, specifically offered to college-aged Emerging Leader Rotational Program associates (or ELRPs).
I collaborated with the Creative Director and manager of this task in designing this logo with a stylized camp scene emblem/patch. The logo was presented on T-shirts, stickers, DISCO’s website, amongst other swag items.

LAW BETTER!

In 2023, DISCO launched their Law Better campaign. This was one of my first typographic compositions for it, which was printed on tote bags and provided to employees to celebrate the campaign launch.

QuickBite

In 2022, DISCO launched QuickSight enablement resources (videos, transcripts, and guides) on DISCO University’s training platform, one such resource being QuickBites. A QuickBite is a 2-minute video showing users how to interact with specific QuickSight artifacts to find the data they need to answer questions and perform their jobs better. This brand mark was made as a play on Pac-Man (DISCO’s branding was much more cheeky at the time), but not without also representing data ingestion and the absorption of knowledge one gains through these training videos.

DISCO University certification crests

DISCO University offers a certification program to its employees to learn more about DISCO’s services, technology, strategies, and best practices. These credentials are given a fresh new look every year.
In 2022, I was asked to redesign the DISCO Ediscovery crests, followed by designing crests for the Sales certification program in 2023.

& layout design

The majority of layout design I’ve done for DISCO includes conceptual illustrations, infographics, and text organization that guides the eye throughout the brilliantly lively pages. Below is a small collection of works and assets I’ve made.

Law Better campaign
& 2023+

2023 marked DISCO’s new campaign launch, Law Better. It was a transitional period for the company, veering away from illustrative, cheeky humor and opting for bold and assertive messaging with Lady J (Lady Justice) as the driving force and leading mascot.

Lady J is a witty and satirical personification of Lady Justice encouraging lawyers and legal professionals to better their jobs for themselves and their clients using DISCO’s services.

I collaborated closely with the Creative Director to lead DISCO’s rebranding efforts, playing a pivotal role in shaping its streamlined, modern identity. Throughout 2024, we explored minimalist, collage, and editorial design concepts; use of AI-generated resources; refined typography; and strategically applied DISCO’s circle and square logo elements across many brand assets.
